Treatment
The title that my group and I will be working with will be ‘Alice’s wish’.
Our Teaser trailer will be shot using a DV video camera. The editing technology that we will be using to format our teaser trailer will be a programme’s called iMovie and Photoshop. I-Movie will allow us to import footage with ease. It will allow us to add music, sound effects, themes, titles, transitions and other effects to our teaser trailer. We will also be able to save our edited version to DVD, CD or save as a file to the hardrive itself. Photoshop will be used to edit our magazine and poster. It will give us the chance to use loads of images, colours and give us the chance to be very creative.
Our final piece is going to be between 30secondsand 1minute. This is due to our results from out questionnaire been the preferred time limit for a teaser trailer. Our teaser trailer would probably be shown between 6-9pm due to it not been a horror film and appealing to a wide audience.
Our intended audience women aged between 17-25 onwards. This is our audience as because of our results that we got from out questionnaire results.
The synopsis to our teaser trailer is as follows, Alice O'Rourke was twenty two years old and was terminally ill with cancer. She was sent home to die as she refused all treatment and would not let anybody help her. Three years ago, whilst in hospital, she met a girl, aged 17, who also had cancer. Her name was Aimee Jackson. Unfortunately, Aimee was sent to a care home at the age of four as her parents couldn't cope with looking after her and was never able to track down her parents again. When Aimee turned 18, after all treatment, she was given the all clear and was released out of hospital, but Aimee and Alice stayed very close friends, being with each other every day. Alice came from a wealthy background, whilst Aimee had very little. Alice saved her money in secret to give to Aimee after she had passed away to help her find her parents where ever they were in the world and felt she wanted Aimee to fulfil her dreams as she knew she wouldn't be able to. On the 24th May Alice passed away leaving her money to Aimee in a letter, but before the letter was found, Alice's sister Beth takes all of Alice's belongings, including her house and money. When Aimee is given the letter, she does what she knows Alice would have wanted her to do, and fights for it back.
The genre of our teaser trailer is going to be Drama. There will be use of a light music in the background and maybe a couple of sounds effects.
Our teaser trailer is relevant as this is the kind of thing that we have found out that appeals to our intended audience. It will interest our intended audience as our research has proved what will interest them and we have followed this.
The feasibility of our teaser trailer is going to be done with ease due to we have the actors already and most places where shots are going to be taken are our own homes. The one problem that we have come across is that we need a hospital as one of the scenes and obviously this will not be accessible but we will have to be very creative to overcome this.
For our project, we do not have a particular budget as we don't think that we will need to spend much but we are all willing to put in the equal amount for what we do have to spend.
Our final deadline for the completion of our planning will be 26th February, the final deadline for our main task will be completed by Friday 26th March and our ancillary tasks will be completed by Friday 9th April.
